Good-Bye Great-Grandpa....

So today we are sad to say "Good-bye" to Grandpa vanTrigt who passed away late last night. He was a strong Christian man and a great influence on Greg's life and prayed for our boys regularly. He always had an encouraging word to say. I dug through some photos and attached a few of him with the boys. As you can see he enjoyed playing with them as much as they enjoyed playing with him.

The last memory of the boys with him that we will have is when we visited him a few weeks ago, (original post) he was very frail and didn't get out of bed, but the boys had the candle snuffer and was playing doctor (making him better)...he let them do their thing. As we were getting ready to leave the boys ran in to say good-bye to him (one at a time) and they both said, "Good-bye great-grandpa, I love you!" He couldn't speak but he reached out his hand and touched their cheek. It was a very touching moment between them.

So.....
"Good-bye Great-Grandpa, we LOVE you!"
