Anyway, I spoke with the principal and found out that the bus CJ is on is a little wild because the oldest kids on the bus are Grade 1's, so there's no older role models to demonstrate appropriate behaviour on the bus. They have since assigned an adult to be on the bus and sit with one of the problem children (not sure if it's the same kid that has choked CJ). So we will see how the bus goes from here on in.
Today I got an e-mail from CJ's teacher regarding my note to her, and I felt it was a pretty positive e-mail. Here are some of the things she said:
- C.J. did make a visit to Mr. Cunningham, briefly and with me when he pinched someone, so that he would know the consequences. He has only gone twice.
- His is doing fine academically, particularly verbally.
- His hands on is still manageable, I am not too concerned as he is only 4 and he is making progress.
