Fair Haven - Day 7

The last full day at Fair Haven....the morning ended with the kids putting on a little "concert" for the parents showing us what they learned through the week. Here's Kai's group doing their thing. Unfortunately I only got videos of CJ's group, but his group is the one sitting on the floor watching Kai's group.

Friday afternoon is a Family Fun event, well Kai was looking a little weary at lunch and in no time flat he would out like a light when we got back to the room. He slept for over 2 hours! So CJ and I spent the afternoon taking in the family "fun" events...the first one was a petting zoo....you'll see CJ below petting the bunny rabbits and feeding some goats. He didn't want to take a pony ride or go for a jump in the jumping castle or get his face painted. All he wanted to do was ride his bike, so that's what we did.

This was our "home" for the week.....

Tonight the kids programs were having hayrides, etc. so being as it was the last night we decided to let the kids stay up and participate (they've been going to bed their regular time of 7:00 p.m. because they've been continuing to get up at 6:00 a.m. and have not been having naps)....on the way to the hayride, here's Kai, he was quite interested in his shadow and wanted me to take a picture of his shadow...so of course, I did!

Every day going to our meals we have to cross these bridges...and every day we have a different grumpy 'ol troll that lives under it. This is CJ doing his best Grumpy 'ol Troll impersonation...and we always have to guess what the magic word is for us to cross....the key is though that they pretty much take whatever we say as the magic word, it's pretty easy to get across! :-)

We've had a great week at Fair Haven....we will definitely come back again. Greg and I have taken time for ourselves while the kids have been entertained in program, we've gone to chapel a few times and have spent just some quality time together as well. The kids have gone non-stop and I think have enjoyed every waking moment and there's been lots!!! We tried a lot of new stuff and we are looking forward to coming back again sometime!

Tonight will end with fireworks at 10:00 p.m., providing of course Greg and I are able to stay awake long enough to see them! :-) I'm sure the other campers will enjoy them if we don't!
