E-X-C-I-T-E-M-E-N-T!

How do you spell Excitement??
So Greg and I were out at a movie Saturday evening, on our way home my cell phone rings and it's mom, she says the Carbon Monoxide detector has been going off since 8:30 p.m. (it was now almost 10:00 p.m.)....I say, I'll be home shortly.

I have to take the babysitter home and on my way I pass a Fire Station so I say, I"ll stop in and ask them what to do because we weren't sure (quite frankly) if it was a 911 call or what. Anyway the firemen took my address and said they were heading over. As I'm on my way home (after dropping the sitter off), my phone rings, it's Greg, "We need to evacuate!" I said, "To where?" He said, "The van in the driveway." OK! So when I get home the kids, Greg, poppy, and Oscar are all sitting in the van.

By the time we were allowed back in the house the kids went over to see the fire truck and got to sit in the driver seat, the fireman put the lights on for them, etc. Keep in mind it's now 11:30 p.m.!!!

If you asked CJ on Sunday what happened last night he says, "The fireman took me out of my bed because there was a bad gas." CJ couldn't understand why though, the fireman took his towel, while he was sitting in the van he kept saying to me, "Mommy, this doesn't belong here." I said, "It's ok CJ, the fireman didn't know!"

I'm happy to say, we are all fine and there wasn't a leak or anything (determined by Union Gas)....there were high levels of Carbon Monoxide though that was still in the house due to the last of circulation in mom's kitchen area while she was tyring to cook the turkey (which by the way she finished cooking yesterday and so far we are all still living to tell the story)!!

We also went out yesterday and purchased new Carbon Monoxide detectors (cause I had no clue how old ours were)!! I'm grateful the detector did work and much more grateful that we are all fine!

But my question to you is how do you spell excitement?
We spell it FIRE TRUCK in DRIVEWAY!! :-)
