So early this morning we headed off to Centreville on Toronto Island! It's a great place for kids our boys age....they had a great day!
Their favourite ride was the "bee" ride....the last time they were on it for the day they were even buzzing like a bee!
The boys loved "driving" the cars!
The train ride was a hit as well.....
Believe it or not both of them loved the log ride....mommy didn't go on this one!
You know you had a fun-filled day when you fall asleep on the ferry ride back to the hotel in the rain!
It was two years ago now that our adoption was finalized. We are trying to go away every year around our adoption date in order to let the boys know that this is an important date for us....because this was the day that we became a forever family.....
The day had some rain, thunder and lightning but that didn't stop us from having a great day! We left the "park" mid-afternoon during the first rain storm, after a quick nap back at the hotel and when the sun came back out, we headed back across the ferry to enjoy a few more rides and the second time around we found Franklin's garden....I'll post those pictures another time....then during the 2nd rain storm we headed back across the "lake" and went for a quick swim.....then it was off to bed.

I love this tradition you've started for your family. How cool! It looks like you had an amazing time.
It was a great time...if you've never been you should definately take Darcy (Welsey is still too little)....
thanks so much for the comment - that's awesome that your kids are so comfortable and understanding of adoption. i hope that we can instill the same sense of comfort with our boys. i love the idea of doing something special for the adoption day. even though we took custody only 9 days after they were born, it'll be quite a while before we go to court. we'll definately have to make that a yearly special event!
