Kai....

Ok, so nothing really to post about Kai at this point either....but just thought haven't said much about him lately!

He is in the stages of being ready to move up to Preschool at Day Care! AGHHHH!!! In fact, when I went to get him today he was "visiting" and I must say, quite enjoying riding the Scooters! That's what he's been eyeing through the fence all summer and he was thrilled that he finally got over there and spent the afternoon riding them!

He did also convince the staff that a certain pair of Diego shoes were his....mind you they were two sizes too big and he was flopping out of them, but he was wearing them. When I got there I asked him where his shoes were and found out the ones he was wearing belong to another little guy running around wearing rubber boots. We found Kai's shoes in a "bin" in the mud room belonging to another child! Yep, he's a sneaky one! :-)

Kai won't be moving up to preschool until CJ moves up to Senior Preschool, just so that they are not in the same program together so that they have some separate time. CJ isn't moving up until they (the staff) are sure that he's settled into school (because we all recognize how CJ reacts to change).

Kai does still question where CJ is when CJ goes to school. He's not quite sure what to make of the fact that he isn't in the van with us and doesn't understand why CJ is hiding.

On a potty note - nope, nothing to report there either. Kai is absolutely refusing to go potty. He sits in the bathroom and waits patiently while all his friends are using the potty, but he still won't do it. Did I mention that he has a very strong will! :-) I keep telling him when he goes to Kimmi's room (Preschool), in order to ride the scooters he needs to pee on the toilet. To which he responds, "yep, pee on toilet." In fact when he was over there visiting today, one of the staff tried to get him to use the toilet, by telling him he's a big boy over in Preschool and he needed to use the toilet and he just looked at her and said, "No thank you!" Well, at least he was polite! :-)
