Each night, we go upstairs, brush our teeth, sit on CJ's bed and read "votions" as CJ call 'em!
(Devotions out of their Kid's Bible) After that, we say our prayers.
It goes a little something like this:
God Bless mommy, daddy,
nana, poppy, grammie, poppa,
all my brothers and sisters

nana, poppy, grammie, poppa,
all my brothers and sisters
(Eric, Dylan, Kayla, Alyssa,
William, Syrus, CJ, and Kai)
Uncle Dwayne, Auntie Anne Marie,
Andrew, Deanna, Katie
Shawna, Scott, Uncle John, Aunt Don
then CJ pipes in with his names -
Adian, Dylan, Olivia, Matthew, Gail, Kimmie
(these are his day care friends and staff)
(these are his day care friends and staff)
our sponsor child through World Vision, Longuilo
to which CJ adds - and Las Vegas, (where this comes from I'm not sure!)
all our friends and family
and then both boys shout - AMEN!
The cute part is that CJ adds his own names and they usually vary each night, but it is always his friends from day care...last night for the first time he added in the staff! And if we mention Longuilo, he always then prays for Las Vegas, not sure if it's just the name reminds him of it or what, but he will say it every time! ;-)

Darcy uses bedtime prayers as a stall tactic. The more people I "feel led" to pray for, the longer I don't have to go to bed!
She does seem to get the concept though because the other week we were having dinner at Jerilee and Fred's house and out of nowhere Darcy said, "Jerilee, we pray about you all the time!" It was so cute.
