Life Changes

Here's a run down of our life changes since September 2004! Greg had been laid off from his driving instructor job, got called back, was hardly getting any hours. After much discussion and what not, we decided that Greg would resign from his job and go to College full-time, complete his two year diploma and move on with life (very intimidating/scary/stressful after being out of school for over 15 years).

Meanwhile, we had also applied for adoption. In November we get a phone call and are informed that we have been chosen for a baby that is due in December. Yep, two weeks to plan. Well, so we thought, he (Kai) was a little late, two weeks late to be exact. Anyway, now we've got a newborn baby and a husband going to school full-time, so I only took three months off of work before I was back to work full-time (someone had to pay the bills!) :-)

January/February we get another phone call, wondering if we would be interested in taking Kai's older brother (13 months older). Yep, we met the little dude (CJ) and yep, decided that we would gladly take him too. But not until a few months later, we wanted more time with just Kai. So in August 2005 CJ joined our family full-time (he had been visiting lots up to that point). So we tell people our first born is our youngest! (You figure it out) :-)

So now we have two children under two, a husband going to school full-time and I'm also back working full-time. Life changes! Greg got a part-time job, working weekends, etc. whenever he could pick-up shifts. The next summer, 2006, the adoption was finalized, Greg had one more semester of school left and was now working two part-time jobs. Things were hectic to say the least.

However, part of my reason for this post is as I am writing this Greg is writing his last exam. Yep, he's done school officially as of today. He will get his marks next week and will have his official graduation in June. Two years have come and gone, Greg's completed his Colllege diploma, we've had two children in the process and time keeps marching on.

We have been very busy but also wouldn't trade the boys or this experience for anything. Boys we love you and Daddy we are VERY proud of you!

Our Corps Officer once told me that God only gives us as much as he knows that we can handle.... so all of these changes that are taking place in your life say a lot about your character. Also my mom always says that the best things in life are the things that you have to work for... sounds like you guys have worked hard - congradulations on your familys accomplishments!
