Today, Shawna, CJ, Kai and myself participated in the Alzheimer's Walk for Memories! Before we left the house we took a couple of pictures of the boys with Poppy (my dad), he is the reason we participate in this event. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the age of 55, that was 7 years ago.
This year for the walk I made t-shirts for the boys and some signs for the wagon. I wanted everyone to know the reason why we participate.....
The day started out quite dreary and we had a few sprinkles of rain, but by the time we started walking it just just overcast and windy, in fact part way through the walk we got some sunshine....and after everything was done we even had some time to spend a few minutes in the playground.
CJ, Kai and myself raised just over $2,000 this year! I would like to thank all of you who supported us. We couldn't have done it with out YOU!
