So Shawna got back last week from her trip out west and she came Saturday to spend some time with the boys....first we went for haircuts...they spiked Kai's hair and he reached his hand up and felt it and looked at us and said, "It's like Shawna's!" Then we headed for lunch to Ronnie's (McDonald's)...followed by bowling....
While we were bowling Shawna was, of course, busy taking photos...well at one point CJ said can I see the picture and Shawna said you were too fast I didn't get one...so then he started posing...and here's those shots!....what a kid!
What's bowling if you don't finish with ice cream? So while we were sitting at Dairy Queen enjoying our ice cream Shawna asked Kai if he wanted to make a cake when we got home....so of course it was resounding yeses all around! We left Dairy Queen, stopped at the grocery store and picked up the supplies and decided to make cupcakes....here's the pictures of that....you'll notice the excitement in the eyes! I haven't had one yet, but they looked really yummy....in the pictures you'll notice Kai dives head first, CJ is a little bit more reserved, he doesn't like to get as dirty as Kai! :-)
Yep, I think the cupcakes were a hit!
A few funny stories....on Saturday when I told Kai Shawna was coming to visit, he looked at me and said, "Do you have a meeting mommy?" I usually tell the kids I have a meeting when someone is coming to look after them! :-)
Sunday we went to see Greg's parents cause it's Grammie's birthday this week....we were there for a little bit and Grammie had this puzzle on the table almost finished, Kai decided he wanted to see it and pulled it towards him and yep, it completely fell apart all over the floor! I spent the next hour trying to get as much of it back together as possible.
Then when we were driving home we went over some train tracks, CJ pipes up and says, "wow, that's bigger than my life!" Cute!
