One funny thing is that his teacher obviously uses the word Sweetie a lot because CJ has picked up on it. If he is trying to get your attention or if he doesn't know your name, he will tap you and say, "Sweetie" Also, if he's asking me a question or doing something, he's looked at me and said, "thanks Sweetie!" Too funny!
WARNING: BODILY FUNCTIONS DISCUSSED BELOW!
However, what I've been waiting to see on is the fact that he's started having accidents. But not just at school, at home and at day care as well. So I've narrowed it down to a couple of possibilities - he's stressed about the changes (even though he's loving school), he's too busy to stop to go, he's regressed (all "books" say it can happen), and/or he's not liking the bathrooms! Believe it or not, CJ is quite picky about his toilet. If he thinks the toilet is too dirty or too big or whatever he won't use it. To help with this, I've started taking him to go pee when I drop him off at the before school program, in hopes that I will get him "use" to the bathroom there! Another issue is that he hasn't used a big toilet without a potty seat to go poo. One thing that we've also noted is that at day care he will wait until the little toilet is free, he will NOT use the big one!
I've also brought back out the sticker chart! In that if he keeps his underwear clean and dry ALL day he gets at sticker at bedtime and then after so many stickers he gets a reward. I thought this would prompt him to being using the bathroom. At home he's done better and at day care as well, however, school is still a issue! Two accidents today! He's never had this many accidents when he was first training!
Does anyone have any thoughts? Suggestions? Words of Wisdom? I'm needing something to help him get through this phase......
